Have you noticed how much water is in Australian meat.
Adding water to meat to increase the weight is normal.

But it also means some butchers can buy manufacturing grade meat - that is meat deemed so tough and tasteless, it's only good to be ground for mince - then pump it with water and flavour.
We bought eight pieces of meat - seven rumps and one rib fillet. Five were from various Coles and Woolworths supermarkets and three from so-called value for money, bulk butchers. We then had them tested for water content.
The results were surprising. The three we bought from the bulk butchers had up to seven times the water content of the meat from the supermarket. Glen Pinna from Biotech Labratories says we paid money for nothing.
"If you look at paying $5 to $6 a kilo for the meat, you are also paying the same for water," he said.
