Mark, you have been over simplifying the rate of drilling. It will be very stop-start as they move through the clastic zones. There will likely be days at a time when drilling does not progress deeper because they need to isolate target zones, run wire logs, collect samples etc. Lots of mid-drill testing to be done that they only get one shot at. These things can present their own difficulties so are not usually communciated until completed.

Drilling the country rock between the target zones is simple and straightforward, therefore fast. Now they are near the money zones, I'd rather they take their time and collect as much data as possible. Reaching target depth is really low on the list of drilling tasks right now.
