Before we all get excited about nickel pricing just remember spot price and near term futures relate to current market dynamics and do not necessarily reflect the situation in the next couple of years. Nobody has a clear idea of what nickel will be in 5 years' time though I expect it will be around the current level due to indonesian production costs which will dominate much of the market.
