Two atoms who were friends bumped into one another and rather than deciding to split, started up a conversation. The first atom (H) asked the second atom (O) how it had been. O responded downheartedly and told H that it had been feeling very unwell as it had lost an electron. “Lost an electron” exclaimed H, “that’s terrible, are you sure? “I’m positive” O replied.
