Haven't talked about currencies for a while on HC. This week is pretty news heavy. The first week of the month usually is and a little different when the start of the month is mid week because you get a lot of overseas data towards the end then we get our data next week the AUD.

Pretty much the theme is fixed income and bond rate mostly 10yr. Dropped slightly on Friday to just over 3%. There probably wont be any USD weakness unless the rate can get over 3.25%. Stock markets will need to keep dropping and if they do will put pressure on the AUD.

I don really trade the first week too news driven for me.

So if you were an OS Broker would your advice be to your longterm investment clients be, A$ closer to low than high verse US$ time to average in?

And if you were an OS Broker would that brief break of resistance last friday be a concern?
