The Antarctic is in a different hemisphere. We have seen nothing yet South of the Equator, it's only beyond 10 degrees North that the full effects of what we are doing to our planet become blindingly obvious. To be expected really when 90% of the world's industry and a large proportion of the world's population is up there. The only instruments you need are eyes and a brain.
Just ask seafarers or airline pilots who travel between the two hemispheres, or get out and do a bit of travelling yourself.
