According to a recent study by the NRMA, we import 91% of our fuel
    which is a scandal.

"Australia's Fuel Security, commissioned by the NRMA last year, found that Australia imports 91 per cent of its fuel, up from around 60 per cent in 2000." (source ABC, Feb 2014).

Not alone is this a major National security issue, it is also crippling our balance of trade.

We need an independent review of our oil needs with the intention (like the USA) of becomming
self sufficient within 5 years. If Uncle Sam can do it then why why not us?

Those driving around in fuel guzzlers should have a second thought about what they are doing.
As a country we simply afford to pander to stupid egos by permitting those with petrol guzzlers to
    trash our balance of trade.
