In 2017, I visited Israel and the West Bank and what I saw how Palestinians were being treated under the IDF governance, I also would be joining some rebellious group.
Tony Wheeler - original owner of the Lonely Planet - placed Israel in a book titled the “ The Bad Lands”, an appropriate category for Israel even in 2017. We used his route mentioned in the book and his comments about the place was still appropriate.
