Daimler just purchased 3% of a Chinese lithium ion producer called Farasis and building a cell factory in Germany. shows how car companies are now transitioning to energy companies. wonder if Daimler will make as much money as they did investing in Tesla? in 2009 they invested $50 million for 9% and then sold in 2014 for $780 million. however would have been 4/5 times the profit on today's Tesla value circa $3.9 billion! in musk we trusk!
