The ironic part is that in the fervour of the SP going up and up on the Lithium + general bull market at the end of last year and everyone started saying this would be bought out "any day now" everyone forgot one of the basics of buy outs - as a rule of thumb no one wants to buy out any company with a share price on a tear.
You wait until the share price is on its knees and it is all doom and gloom and you buy it for half the price. It's just good business. If it costs you 10% of your capital to help it on its way down so you can save 50% - totally worth it.
There was never any chance of a TO at the soaring SP months ago IMHO - there IS a much higher chance of a play being made on AVZ now. I remember looking at ACX for months as the share price was whittled down to nothing and trying to pick a bottom and then sure enough, game over, I missed the boat.
