These fund managers are the sleaziest grubs on the planet using your money to control companies , boards of directors and governments , just take the supermarket debacle right now .They dont give a flying f#$k about price gouging as long as their bottom line is strong and returning a divvy to the shareholder which is a fund manager who in turn returns a lesser % growth to the plebs who are buying the goods where inflation is outpacing their returns. A con job of monumental proportions . Gone are the days where mum and dad investors have a say on company direction , lazy , just give it to a crook and he will determine your standard of living .
The third largest economy in the world behind the USA and China is the combined entity of Blackrock and Vanguard , people talk about a revolution against the system , a good start would be to start clawing back your own wealth for you to dictate your own future.

Well said Mikey. What I don't like about these pricks is - their fees are calculated on the overall value of a punter's assets. This is outrageous.

A punter spends their life working their butt off and shouldering the risk to accumulate their asset base. The fund managers (who have taken zero risk) then invest that heard earned wealth into (hopefully) diversified investments. They then calculate their monthly fees off the overall asset value whether those investments have generated a positive or negative yield. They couldn't give a stuff whether the investments they have made return a loss or not - they have no risk and no skin in the game!!

IMHO, these fund managers should be made (by legislation) to calculate their monthly fees from the yield of those investments they make. They might then put a bit more effort into what they invest in!
