Why not be patronising? Johnnyb clearly stated he's first foray into shares was a failure. He's now back with the help of his "mentor" with (by his admission) no chance of beating the average return from an index fund.
Whilst in most cases I like seeing the next batch of baby turtle chartists head into the ocean wondering which will be the one to survive I assume a key requirement of success is humility. He knows nothing or he wouldn't need a mentor would he? It's like a small child, they like to mouth off and think they're smart, butt once you tell them they only learned to wipe their bottom a couple of months ago they soon think better of it...
Now if he bothered to listen on this forum and ignored the biases of the extreme bulls and bears then he could learn something. With the AUD gold price and the charts of RMS, SBM, NST and SAR how could you not make money if you were on this forum everyday?
