has anyone thought about where all the batteries for cars and...

has anyone thought about where all the batteries for cars and home wall kits will go when they reach end of life ? Batteries while stopping most of fossil fuel damage in the near term (we hope) will create massive environmental damage themselves if we cannot find a way to recycle most, if not all, of the parts at end of life ! Billions upon billions of dead batteries at some point in the future... where do they go ? i have no idea how much of an electric car battery you can recycle so someone more knowledgeable may be able to help ?... but i suspect either way there will be a significant environmental impact some time in the future in this regard.. something that has bugged me for a while as there is always an impact to the environment in everything us humans do.. and we do not have a great track record of forward thinking in this regard..
