    Actually the 96 “fires” you are referring to are not actually fires but incidents.

    You are correct though the 96 you refer to are very very bad and scary. For example one of the “fires” you refer to was actually a spill “a month ago” in NY. Very very serious - 5 gallons of glycol (antifreeze) was spilled. You have conflated the data.

    Battery fires are an issue, which is only going to get worse as the number and size deployed continues to increase. I would suggest that the proponents of this technology actually address the issue rather than continually deflect to “but that is worse.” And if deflection is the mode of argument used I suggest that the deflection used should be at least somewhat relevant/persuasive instead of how can I put this politely-embarrassing.
