I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking this. De Beers is 100% up for sale in my opinion.
It would be neat if BDM could take over the neighbouring De Beers mine, but I'm not sure the company is in the position to after the recent takeover of Ekati. Nevertheless it would be a story for the ages and it would create a formidable diamond company.
