My argument is valid as I was referring to Sydney market not Perth. Perth is a lot cheaper compared to Sydney and yeah.. given the same of level of income it is achievable in Perth but much harder in Sydney.
Having said that, it all depends on the individual's living arrangements whilst saving for a deposit. Whether that person was living with mum and/or whether mum helped to pay for the deposit or even half of the cost of the property . Different arguments based on different facts.
