More accurate to state, any foreign takeovers or such from ASX listed companies are almost always a wipeout for holders of the acquiring source company, and a bonanza for the acquisition target, broker, financiers and all those advisers and hangers on. ANZ and NAB are standouts for massive sh wealth destruction for overseas banking acquisitions. BHP takeover for RIO some years ago (2208?), recall that flop.
