I think it is a shame most people's knowledge of crypto currency value is based around the asset bubble investing which detracts from the utility value of such systems.
Crypto currency systems have utility value based on how well they can potentially allow trade between agents to occur, the ability to exchange with a minimal requirement of trust, l, part of this has been eroded by the scaling issues.
Most crypto systems are deflationary in design, with a cap on the total supply, freeing it from central bank manipulation and debt induced bubbles.
If you're satisfied with the current inherent value of fiat currencies, continue to trash crypto. But as has been mentioned the rapid and continual evolution (some failures, culling of the herd) will make crypto currency far superior to fiat systems of exchange.
