At about the same time where my Grandmother lived it was so cold she would stand in cow poo to warm her feet.

Of course this anecdote is devoid of meaning unless you know she lived shiveringly close to the Arctic Circle. I'm glad for her sake she became an economic boat person and floated to Australia. She never wanted to go back to her childhood home.
