He has said companies that tick all the boxes should expect to get the go ahead in Australia.
He has said we need new gas reserves and energy security.
He has said the PEP 11 well would be out of sight 30km offshore.
He has said it will be small, the size of a dining room table.
He has said he is not influenced by tobjections of vocal minorities but will make the decision in the national interest.
He has said he wants to make a decision sooner rather than later, so you'd hope we are getting close.
He is known in Parliament as being a "no bullsh!t" politician who says it like it is.
His position is strengthened now that the Nats had a strong win in the NSW by election that was fought on a traditional conservative platform - and rejected the soft liberal politics of Malcolm Turnbull.

So all up, BPH is a risk I am happy to take.

Don't forget he mentioned he will follow advice from Geoscience 2-3 days ago. Geoscience backs up PEP11 stating it is the answer to our gas issues.
