Breakthrough Development of Memory Ink in Unique Capital Gains Tax Free ASX Company

ASX listed Strategic Elements (SOR) has just announced a breakthrough with its revolutionary nanocube memory technology successfully developed into printable ink.

SOR is a unique listed Company awarded special Pooled Development Fund status by the Federal Government meaning most shareholders pay no tax on their capital gains or dividends.

The Company will progressively release information to the market over the course of a 12-week program to optimise the memory ink, print memory cells onto silicon, glass and flexible plastic and test for aspects such as programming speed and power consumption.

The 12-week program contains multiple advancements that are significant catalysts for the Company. The program has already commenced.

The total printed electronics market is forecast to grow from $16 billion in 2003 to $76.79 billion by 2023. The Company believes there is no commercial ready printable memory with the potential of the nanocube technology.
The outstanding feature (and clear point of difference) of the nanocube technology is the ability to be incorporated into a solution, which can potentially form printed, flexible, and transparent memory cells with high performance and low power consumption.

The memory components of printed electronics are still very limited in their performance. Thus a printable memory with high performance will be a breakthrough in printable electronics and assist in transforming the industry.
The Company has successfully developed a printable ink containing billions of nanocubes. The nanocube ink was successfully jetted from a commercial FujiFilm rapid prototyping inkjet printer onto both silicon and glass substrates. It was approx. 80% transparent when printed onto glass with future potential to print directly onto transparent flexible plastic, screens, displays and/or windows.

Wearable technologies, sensors, screens and displays, automotive markets, healthcare and 3D printing are creating strong market pull for printable electronics. Manufacturing plants can potentially be built with one tenth to one hundredth of the capital cost of conventional semiconductor or thin-film fabrication plants.

Devices can be produced in high-volume over large areas on flexible substrates thereby enabling electronic systems to be deployed in a wide variety of non-traditional situations: on paper and plastic, on clothes, in furniture, cars and buildings, as well as on packaging and even in and on the human body.

The nanocube technology licenced from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) consists of tiny cube-shaped memory cells with potential to enable large amounts of data to be stored on smaller, faster memory devices. Nanocubes developed by UNSW are 10,000x smaller than a human hair.

SOR has also just announced a second license from UNSW on UV light technology, which can act as an extra control on electronic devices reducing power consumption by up to 20% and increasing storage and processing speeds by 10X. The technology has the potential to combine work in a combined sensor and memory device.
