The chief Inquisitor has been sacked. No surprise there!
Perhaps he can score a job at any forthcoming Witch Trials. That's in keeping with his skill set.
Maybe next:
- depending on the findings of the Inquiry, perhaps Mr Lehrmann will be in line for a sizable compensation package from either, or both, levels of government for being subjected to a wrongful prosecution that had little prospects of success
-Opposition legal spokeswoman Cash makes a reference to the new national Anti Corruption body to investigate the circumstances surrounding the hasty, secret payment by the Dept of Finance to Higgins.
Drumgold was right about one thing. There were politics swirling around this case - but he got it back to front. The politics benefited only one side leading into an election, namely the Party that has recently paid Higgins up to $3M according to some reports, in "go away" money.
