U can see how certain discriminative jokes get started; its usually due to politicians interference that engenders the creative minds.
As an example from my personal experience in the RAAF; we donated renovated aircrafts to a neighbouring country.
The package included training the aircrew and ground crew to maintain and fly these aircraft as an independent airforce.
The ground crew weren’t so much the problem but the aircrew were simply a flop…the instructors simply refused to pass them.
Politicians saw this as damaging the image of both nations and forced the continuation of aircrew training.
Lets put it nicely, the standard wasn’t satisfactory and a contingent of RAAF personnel were seconded to form part of that nation airforce.
The comments floating around the base was based on the selection criteria to find out who had the aptitude to become aircrew or ground crew. I need to make it clear that the base personnel consisted of a high number numbers who were born overseas.
U get all the applicants to climb up a tree…..u shake the sh!t out of the tree… the one’s that are still hanging in the tree are aircrew, the rest who fell out off the tree are ground crew.
