I agree that conditions have been good in Australia for a long time although within that there have been a few individual swings .
The early 90's in Victoria were pretty ordinary until about 95 .
Working in the mines back in those days wasn't anywhere near as lucrative as it has been in the late 2000's .
I reckon the Gold Coast has had a few swings in that period .
What about the flat Sydney propert market during the 2000's ?
BHP pulling out of Newcastle might have had a bit of an effect on the local economy don't you think .
Asian financial crisis ?
Etc...
So while it's been pretty good in the period you've mentioned , there has been some up and downs .
