That is true that Oz is in deep debt.
It is not thru trade of goods and services as these are paid in full before you receive the goods at port.
The debt Oz owes is mainly from all those houses in Australia and the mortgages attached to them.
The money from CBA, NAB etc is borrowed form overseas and lent to mortgage holders in Oz
