If FTO inhibition decreases the expression of CDK7, what's the point of adding another potentially toxic drug into the mix?
The jury is still out on all of the possible combinations with FTO inhibitors. We have a taste of combination from the phase II pediatric trial in blood cancers using Bisantrene (FTO inhibitor) with antimetabolites (Ara-C). Efficacy was very good in a heavily pretreated, resistant population group (46% CR rate).
