Sure some Company's have removed the 17.5% leave loading, but to be fair many especially those company's that are American based have made improvements to work conditions.
My wife to whom works within a medical manufacturing Company, did remove the 17.5% loading, but in turn gave each Employee (inclusive of their immediate family) Top tier 1 Private Hospital Cover.
* Note this Company is a non Union Member run operation *
With the current state of Public Hospitals, this has been a great benefit to us.
Personally, I have always attained a higher income & more flexibility when working without Union interference.
