CFMEU fined $850,000 in federal court
The CFMEU has been fined more than $850,000 over multiple breaches of industrial law at construction sites across Adelaide.
The Federal Court on Friday imposed penalties against the union and 15 of its officials over offences committed at 10 worksites between October 2013 and May 2014.
"The CFMEU's dismal record means that deterrence must be a particularly important consideration in the penalties imposed on it," Judge Richard White said.
