Summary Announcement. Amity Oil. Change of Name & ASX Code Date of Report: 25-Nov-2004
At the Company's Annual General Meeting on 23 November 2004, shareholders voted to change the name of Amity Oil Limited to Antares Energy Limited.
ASIC has approved the name change and ASX has indicated that from the opening of trading on Friday, 26 November 2004 the name Amity Oil Limited, trading under AYO, will no longer be applicable and will be replaced by Antares Energy Limited, trading under code AZZ.
The Convertible Notes which currently trade under AYOG will change to code AZZG at the same time.
Drilling Planned for Yukon Prospect, Oklahoma
Antares Energy (formerly Amity Oil Limited) also announced that it has been successful in capturing an initial land position in Beaver County, Oklahoma for an upcoming well planned for drilling in January.
This well is a test of a very widespread and productive gas bearing zone at approximately 5,000 feet. Comprehensive in-house regional work has led Antares to believe that there are potentially a large number of un-tested locations where this style of prospect may be productive.
A rig is in the process of being contracted for one firm well and one contingent well, to be drilled back to back if the first well is successful.
