Yes hoots it's actually the Japanese way of seeing gaps. They call them rising and falling windows and say they remain acting as support or resistance until they are broken by a close below support or above resistance. Whereas the Western way just says that "gaps get filled."
So technically the 6.62 close broke the rising window of support - but they'd ignore it as it only closed 1 cent below on low volume and then today's action suggests there is still support around those levels.
