After the action on Friday we now have a good technical set-up for start of a new trend with;
- Close above upper 1 Standard deviation Bollinger Band (20 days)
- 9 day (red) Detrended Price Oscillator (DPO) moving from below 0 to above 0
- 20 day (blue) Detrended Price Oscillator (DPO) moving from below 0 to 0
- Good volume on breakout
Last time we had a similar setup was start of Jan, which ultimately failed after spending only 8 days above the upper 1 Standard deviation Bollinger Band.
Here's hoping the extra volume this time points to a more sustained rally - despite the dismal macro environment.
