The more you discuss about what you can and can't do with the use of charts reveals just how shallow of the subject your true knowledge is.

Charting is all about the human behaviour powered by greed and fear.

EBR is a new kid on the block dealing with the FDA, I could have shown half a dozen stocks chart histories across multiple fields of companies going through that same process. MSB was just one example showing the huge swings and aroundabouts associated with that process.

I didn't call for a 50c share price, there was no gap at 50c, you made that up, but I did note that there was an unfilled gap at 0.55-057 which did fill when the SP got back down to 0.535

That last sentence reveals just how shallow your knowledge is. The opposite is true. EBR has been on the block just 5 minutes in charting terms,

In that time its been from 1.09 to 0.33 to 1.35 to 0.535 to currently 0.87 in just 2 years.

In that last boom cycle from 0.33 to 1.35 which lasted only 1 year, four gaps ( 0.55-0.57, 0.70-0.75, 0.905-0.96, 1.07-1.08) were created and all filled by the return to 0.535.

The process involved in the market creating gaps is complex and a bit irrational, that's why it sends out markers for chartists to watch. Not all gaps are filled but the vast majority are.

I have seen many stocks across a number of sectors undergo a boom cycle sometimes lasting months or even years creating several gaps. Then to see a number of gaps fill one by one as the euphoric fades and the bust begins.

Gap filling doesn't have to be a short term process.
