It seems that John Kerry is pressuring Australia (via Julie Bishop) not to sign up, which is part of the effort to "contain" China. China and Russia are threats to US world domination. It seems that Australia is coming to the inevitable crossroads.
The US will lose the sanction battle with Russia and will be in no position to tackle China, so let's get some of that Chinese investment. Go Joe Hockey!
BTW, I would sooner have Chinese (and Indians, Filipinos etc) over here than some of those middle eastern yobbos.
