If we look at the Economic growth in actual $s rather than in %age we get

This rate of economic growth in $ terms is still quite formidable. The prophets of China doom
only see the drop in %age terms and fail to comprehend China's narrowing the gap between itself and the USA
for the World's biggest economy. If the US economy had grown at an average of $Trillion a year over the past
4 years we'd never hear the end of it which is a shame because most of our trade is with China; not the USA.
