    No, I just find it funny. And totally expected.

    They've been a backward nation financially until the last 15 - 20 years. So they are roughly where Europe was 400 years ago when tulips were all the rage. Their CB has no experience in finessing rates, money supply or balancing the stock market with bonds. The govt doesn't appreciate how difficult it is to reign in financial excesses, or regulate lenders (hence all the shadow lenders). There is a large number of newly rich people (17th c. merchants) thinking they are smart.

    Hell, we're still stuffing it up 400 yrs on! They haven't got a chance. There are probably half a dozen scammers selling holiday homes on the Spratly Islands ....... the South (China) Sea Company!
