Chinese stockpiling

There's renewed talk of government stockpiling today.

The last round of stockpiling mid January helped the last major spike in price. If stockpiling roughly coincides with the the expected run up to Q3 report, things could get interesting.

Mt. Kellett will probably exercise their warrants into the spike but the effect on price will be limited (roughly 1/3 the number of warrants as last time if they exercise the rest).

And as several posters have mentioned, June numbers should be even better because of the recent and continuing increase in RE prices (specifically PrNd oxide).

I'm still very bullish but getting a bit impatient.

Meanwhile, the expected short domestic supply caused by the crackdown on illegal rare earths, the stringent environmental supervision as well as the talked government reserves has also encouraged positive market sentiment.

Purchases for terbium metal from downstream NdFeB producers, as well as the expected government reserves, is cited as the main reason for the rise in terbium prices.

(ContraryJ need not reply, since I will only respond with his growing list of lies, distortions and drastically mistaken projections).
