Re the tax man and his interest in shares being sold and bought back.
I thought that the ATO looked more at contrived sales being made to enable a loss to offset to other gains (and then these loss making shares are re-purchased). This scenario rather than the other way around of shares being sold for a profit (and tax paid on them) and then being repurchased at a lesser price.
