    Northern hemisphere ... for the record at high altitude..

    Stratospheric circulation and Birkeland Currents ( magnetic force ) .
    A Birkeland current is a set of currents that flow along geomagnetic field lines connecting the Earth's magnetosphere to the Earth's high latitude ionosphere. ... The strength of the Birkeland currents changes with activity in the magnetosphere (e.g. during substorms).

    Graph below Northern Hemisphere poles an increase in Upper level temp during March .

    not sure what the correlation with temperature / wind as have seen the higher winds red graphics even in lower temps... there will be something but thinking is more the potential energy sources.. ie Earth / Magnetosphere.

    nb. The right hand rule of the magnetic force says that this system is propagating outwards
