SPOT-ON TECHNOLOGY DIVISION (SOT)
CHECKPOINT
Checkpoint have ordered further SOT Inclinometers for evaluation. Certain modifications requested by Checkpoint have been made to the Inclinometers including an upgrade of the microprocessor and other on-board modifications including the expansion of the perating temperature range.
Checkpoint are continuing in the development of their product range to include the Inclinometer to suit specific client applications and needs.
EAST PRECISION TOOLS (EPT)
EPT has continued to develop customer relationships for both the DIY and Pro CleverLevels (which incorporate the Inclinometer). The majority of their European based customers are currently evaluating the CleverLevels.
SOT has released the CleverLevel Pro600 which contains dual (2) laser diodes with lens capabilities to produce laser lines, vertical and horizontal (cross-hairs). These features are extremely important for value-adding the applications of the product.
JIANGXI MACHINERY CO (JMEC)
JMEC have continued to offer their DL100 Digital Level (which incorporates the Inclinometer) to their global customer base including Spot-on Laser & Tool in Australia. Initial demand for the product has not been great but JMEC believes that there is significant opportunity for the product with more investment in promotion and product knowledge.
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
SOT is awaiting results for CleverLevels & DL100's which were sent for evaluation to numerous "tool" companies including American Tool (USA), Toolz (USA), Starrett (USA), Nedo (Germany), BMI (Germany) & Metland (France).
The "Inclo-G"(G-Force measurement device) has been tested in controlled (high-speed) race maneuvers with positive results. SeimensVDO is currently evaluating the product with a view to commercialisation.
SPOT-ON LASER & TOOL DIVISION (SOLT)
SOLT have continued to develop its national business, sales and marketing network to support volume sales of a range of quality products including SOT's CeverLevel's and Digital Levels. The network includes companies like All Tools, Total Tools, Trade Tools (Qld) who now stock and support SOLT's brand of products.
SOLT has appointed Mr Dean Rowlands, formally ofTRADELINK Plumbing Supplies, as SOLT's National Sales Manager. SOLT is commencing the release of a new digital technology rotational laser developed and engineered by SOT. The way in which this laser interfaces with SOT's digital technology gives a significant advancement in performance at a significantly lower price that that offered by comparable products. *********************************
