There's no doubt that green hydrogen/ammonia will play a role . There will be times where we have huge excesses of electricity so it makes sense to use it rather than waste it.

Desal. Green hydrogen and so on . Ammonia will be used in things like fertilizers , plastics etc. Maybe a little bit of firming in certain circumstances .

A while ago l thought the demand for green hydrogen for firming would be huge, however stationary energy storage technology of all kinds has been really ramping up lately. lt's getting bigger and cheaper at a pretty fast pace.
Then there's the idea of exporting electricity from country to country via cable that is also really growing as well.

lt's kind of a race between the two technologies and l genuinely don't know who's going to win . A couple of years ago l would've backed green hydrogen but today l think it is really large stationary storage that's got it's nose in front.
