To many times I have been at a bar or club in exotic countries. As the night wears on more often/ all the time you will hear a loud American boasting about the waves at such and such a spot were 6 to 8 ft double over head barreling off it’s head this morning.
Makes for great story time, as you listen then realise that’s where I was this morning and it wasn’t even head high.
Must be an American thing, big narly heavy claims of things that were not there, never existed in the first place.
But it draws a crowd to float ones ego.
