Well, anyone with a broad general education should know that in a general sense natural background radiation is responsible for the evolution of all life as we know it, because in small doses radiation triggers cellular mutations that are now widely accepted to be the basis for change.
Most of us live in environments continuously subject to radiation from the earth in varying small amounts. For example, hold a Geiger Counter near the wall of any house built with clay-fired bricks!
The level of radiation in Mt Weld ore is less than most of us get from medical scans annually....
