aaaa, no. The managers and directors manage the company not the share price, although one would hope that the former would influence the latter in a positive way. Not much evidence of that so far, unfortunately.
Any tax implications would be for shareholders imo, some of whom may be looking at their tax positions and taking gains or losses depending on which might improve their personal position.
