My take is that their broker owns a bunch of shares that they can use to move the price up or down as needs. I'm guessing they were buying these between close of offer and the buy back commencement. This is how they will get the vwap to increase. This is why you see some chi-x trades, not retail. However, there must be some level of retail selling also as the volume is higher than expected. Patience is the key.
