For me, I was never in position to buy a home. I had a semi decent deposit saved but would have nothing left over and no set income to afford repayments. When COVID hit, I did a lotttt of research and bought shares. I was terrified but felt good about the large mining and bank companies I bought. I have made a handy capital gain with them whenever I decide to sell. But it was a little Aussie battler with a Perth base like me that has genuinely changed my life and may even provide generational security in the long run. I can't remember how I heard about BRN but boy am I glad I did. And I'm not mad that the price went from around 5c ton11c before I felt secure in my research to invest.

I originally was holding until I made $20k so I could do my car up a bit and have a nice camping honeymoon with my new wife when COVID allows. But as I read more in this forum and through announcements, and familiarised myself with the tech and it's potential, my goals have changed to holding until I can buy a home, a small holiday house, and do up the car. Nothing fancy, just nice.

I don't plan to sell anything unless I need to. I'd like to see $10 and dividends before I consider selling big parcels.
