It just so happens that we are touring Tasmania, and stayed in Queenstown last night. A balmy -1degree this morning.
Mount Lyell Copper mine is on care and maintenance, currently private ownership. New Century Resources did a PFS early last year that was positive for 20 year operation - but then sold it anyway.
At current copper prices - and predictions We should start to see some of these resources restart, as they will be faster than greenfield operations.
