I went to a practicing GP during the covid period and requested a HbA1c, he (the Doctor) said 'come again'? I, (the patient), explained about red cell growth and how they have a roughly 100 day life cycle and that test is more accurate to detect high blood sugar levels rather than the home test kits. His only comeback was "I've never heard of that test I'll look it up and get back to you". Never went back to that Dr. again. A real turn off!
