Unfortunately Grar, this is the reality of things for the people investing in the sharemarket.
IMO, the retail investors, after the initial IPO, they only become the equivalent of a spare tyre which is put into the boot of a car, and only made use of, if and when it will become strictly necessary.
Otherwise.......................................it will just stay there put in the car, and kept there "IN THE DARK".
