Good luck mate, hope your dad isn't in any pain. I went through something similar not long ago. Go and visit him it will make you feel good. My dad and I never saw eye to eye but I visited him every day twice until the inevitable happened. It made me feel good and I am sure he appreciated it, he never said so but he just wanted me to hold his hand and talk to him.
