End-of-day summary:

The share market logged its first winning week in three weeks as investors bet that US interest rates have peaked.

The ASX 200 climbed 79 points or 1.14% today to a fourth straight gain. A broad rally lifted every sector except energy. The REIT and industrial sectors both gained more than 2%.

Today's rally mirrored huge gains on Wall Street overnight as a fall in treasury yields bolstered expectations that the current rates cycle has topped out. The S&P 500 soared 1.89%.
